Agony

Agony,

It cries,

Listless and unspoken,

It naws at the cavity deep with in my chest,

‘Away with you!’

I cry, hoping once again to regain my friend,

But it won’t let loose,

It’s grip firmly wrapped around my insides,

Like a prisoner in his cell,

He grasps,

Firmly and tightly he clenches,

His knuckles red from grip,

He hollows to be released,

But when parole is granted,

He flees further within my chest,

He hides there taunting me,

And I now the capture,

Whimper in plain sight,

For this thing,

This demon who has robbed my soul in plain sight.
