Defense Mechanism

Judgement at every turn,
Masked,
Not in fear of discovery,
But in its lack of reality.
It’s non-existence,
The shadow of past pains,
Of wrongs that must be made right,
Those that I feel require a fight,
So onward I go,
With a facade within a facade,
A defence mechanism that causes more grief than anything else,
I go on.
