Beauty lies so deep,
Bedded with the soul,
A beacon of hope,
Of joy and light,
For the beauty that lies within,
Is more precious than what resides upon any surface,
And it is this beauty,
That I the desperate miner,
Is clamouring to capture and behold.
Why are you here? What is your purpose?
What do you see when you look out over the sea?
Is it freedom?
Is it love?
Tell me what do you see when you look over at me?
Is the world still spinning?
Can you stand up tall and see?
This future before us,
This beauty so deep,
It sweep into my heart,
It has made me complete
Depression has a face.
Like a virus, it invades its host.
It sucks the lifeblood hard and fast,
Destructive and devastating it breaks down,
All joy and content taken,
Snatched away from its owner,
Left alone to suffer in the dark,
Loud and chocked,
My body shakes as the tears emerge,
It is muted and it causes fright,
In a darkness,
Black as night.
It lives inside of me,
This pain I cannot see,
It hides inside my soul,
My torment it’s only goal,
It thirves inside of me,
This thing that will not be seen,
But day after day I slay it,
For it will not win,
And I will not give in,
To this thing that no one else can see.
Cause in these small hours the sun will come through,
Tumbling over the mountains and dew,
And in these small hours,
The light becomes new,
Stumbling over the moments of truth,
And in this small light,
My heart really grew,
Knowing its path all led back to you,
Cause even in the dark,
The sun will shine through,
Rumbling over the darkest of days.
This is just a forward to my next poem. It’s kinda song like and I don’t know if it’s done, but I hope you like it!
Why does it follow me when I sit still?
Why is it waiting?
What is it’s will?
Is it simply hoping that I’ll finally give in?
Or is scared that I might finally win?
